                                    Backpacking

This page here will be here to tell you about our backpacking adventures we have had.

                                    Wickersham Dome
On June 1st and 2nd we hiked Wickersham Dome about 5 miles and decided to set up camp there. As soon as we took our backpacks off and started to sit down it started pouring down huge rain drops so we rushed to set up our tents and get out of the rain. This crazy storm kept us in our tents for about 45 minutes because it was pouring huge rain drops, crazy hard wind speeds and thunder and lightning to top it all off. After all that fun we decided to dig a fire pit to warm up and Daniel also brought stuff to make smores and that sounded good. We made our food and had smores and after that everyone just did whatever they wanted. The next day we woke up early and explored the place around us and after we had packed up we headed back down the trail about 10:30 to get to the car. This was a good pre-hike to our big one and will be doing a few more before the final 40 mile one.

                                    Resurrection Pass

We left for Resurrection Pass on June 20th from the church around 8:00 in the morning and had a nice trip down. We stopped in Anchorage for lunch and got to the Pass around 4:00pm. The whole trip was so much fun and everyone said they had a fun time. Soon there will be a spot where you can see what everyone thought about the trip.
