30 Hour Famine 2010

A 30 Hour Famine is where anyone who is willing raises money for starving children around the world by fasting for 30 hours. We have little slips for people who donate money to us to fill out to keep track of our earnings. To help make it a little more fun you can earn prizes depending on the amount of money you raise. When it came time for us to fast we started fasting on our own at 12:00pm Friday February 26 and went until 6:00pm Saturday February 27. At about 6:oopm on Friday we all came over to the church and spent the night and spent the rest of Sabbath together doing activities and games while fasting. We had so much fun and we plan on doing it again next year.

Just in case anyone out there doesn't know what it means to fast, it means to just drink liquids and no food(solids). Juices and water is what we had with us while we fasted. We also had V8, tea, apple cider and other hot drinks, we even had hot chocolate (without marshmellows). More pictures coming soon.
